General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

I just recently purchased this XS to test it out because I've heard so much about it. In fact, some favor it over the Explorer II and SE.

I found this to be a very deep and versatile detector.

The tones and meter readings are accurate.

Some people like the Tesoro DeLeon and Cortes with their digital meter readings. Put the XS into digital ID mode and you have a vastly superior meter than the DeLeon and Cortes with a detector that gets much greater depth. And too, you have true tone pitch signals with continuous automatic ground balance (the DeLeon is fixed GB and the Cortes only has ajustable GB in all-metal mode).

I was thinking about trading the XS for another machine to test but last night decided to sell it and purchase a new Minelab Explorer SE Pro. The fact is I wouldn't be happy with anything but an Explorer.

This is a great detector with the last upgrade for the XS installed. The stock coil is in great condition and the machine has the after market 1/4 inch headphone attachment installed. You also get the original parts plus a perfect rechargeable battery with chargers, original box, headphones, manual, coil cover, etc.

I don't have photos ready yet but plan to have some later today.

This is a good XS at a good price. All the Explorers from the XS to SE Pro get the same depth so this would be the way for you to see if the Explorer is right for you. At this price you should get your money back if you decide to sell it.

was looking at buying the se pro! is the xs better?
