For SE Owners........

Well I ordered one so we'll see. Very anxious to get started with it.

It will be interesting to compare it with my DFX, with my brain interpreting both. I don't expect it to be a fair comparison until I have about 6 months of experience w/the SE.

The DFX is what I had, Other than weight balance and the screen angle, working the Exp SE, I think is the better machine. Easier to navigate the adjustments, better performance-Deeeper! :surprised:

What I don't like is that you have to strap a rope to your shovel and drag it 12 feet or so behind ya. That way this sensitive beast won't pick it up!!

Tried some inexpensive adapters I got from ebay, that bring AAA batteries to sit in the place of AA batteries. I have used them in the Explorer Alkaline pack.

They work just fine, but naturally enough, I had a reduction in the operating time that I could achieve from AAA batteries (down to only about 4 to 5 hours continuous hunting).

None the less there was a reduction in weight of about 50% of the eight AA battery weight.

Yes, now I have a weight balanced unit........only just , if I use the Joey coil. Any thing heavier makes it nose heavy....even the ML 8 inch
