For Those New to The Hobby of Metal Detecting

Update: River City Treasure Club was created for Those New to The Hobby of Metal Detecting. When I began metal detecting some 30+ years ago, detecting knowledge in general was hard to find let alone anything specifically geared for the beginner. RCTC was designed specifically for that reason and is an On-Line only club that gives the beginner what they need for a good start in our wonderful hobby. I've recently updated the entire website to reflect today's needs and or knowledge. Keep in mind this website is for beginners - not the seasoned pro.

There are some words, in my post, that are hi-lighted that direct you to places that have nothing to do with metal detecting. I DID NOT PUT THEM THERE! I have contacted the management of this website, with this situation, hoping to get to the bottom of this. Thank you.

Per the advice of the administrator of this website, I went to Cnet.com and installed the the software called Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and ran it. It turns out there was malware on my computer but Malwarebytes completely cleaned the hard drive of all infections. Great software and it's Free! Maybe you all should look into this if you haven't already.

Nice to have a place for beginners to learn the hobby of metal-detecting but when my ex and I started in 1981 we didn't have a Computer but did belong to a MD Club, so learning from the members was helpful! May God Bless for you to be feeling much better and able to detect more this year when Spring gets here! Snowing her today with soft, wet fluffy snow on roofs and ground...looks like God sprinkled a heavy layer of powdered sugar all over but isn't sticking on streets, driveways and etc. Sure looks pretty on the top of my shrubs! God's love is beautiful in more ways than one! Amen! Ma
