There simply isn't a better entry level machine, on the market today, than the Fisher F2, and this video seems to agree with that statement (not to mention many metal detecting retailers across the country). It's been more than five years since Andy recorded that field test on the Fisher F2 and today it remains a great entry level detector for those new to the hobby. A friend & metal detector dealer I know still claims it's one of the best machines on the market regardless of one's level of expertise, for it's price point. When Al goes on vacation, the F2 is usually one of the machines he takes with him for his detecting. Maybe that should tell us something?
