For those posting problems with the F75..........

Please include your settings with your post:

1. Which mode ? DE, JE, BC or PF
2. Disc setting ?
3. GB number while Fastgrab ?
4. Fe3 O4 read out ?

One more thing...make sure your cellphone is turned off...really off...not on standby.

I don't even use a coil cover because i don't want it to collect sand or other stuff that causes the detector to behave erratic.

I see alot of these kinds of posts whenever there's a new & powerful detector on the scene. I'd continue to reccomend just turning the sensitivity down. Not forever, but at least until they are more comfortable. The F75 goes plenty deep & can beat out most on 50! (you know kinda like a CZ is ideal on 5, & full a noise on 9).
I'm probably partially at fault when I post my settings and say I was running sensitivity on 90 This is really overdriving it, & I was experiencing some chatter for sure....(But if you remember, I was on a "hunted out" Revolutionary site & needed every inch I could muster, so hearing some "noise" was a fair trade off). I have also pointed out that the all metal mode has a very cool threshold control & I turned it down to -2 to really dim the chatter & still get deep. Basically, don't try my very "hot" settings if your a beginner...I had alotta T2 experience before the F75.
Maybe some folks last unit was a less sensitive "silent search" unit? Andy mentioned cell phones...the same holds true with pinpointers too. Keep 'em off & away from the F75. I also found out it's so sensitive holding a shovel in my other hand like I always did the F75 was picking that up too! So I have been putting it over my shoulder now.....

would be the closest thing I think (holding down the menu button and either pulling or pushing the trigger will take you through F1 thru F7). I've also noticed that tinkering with the process modes, sensitivity, and disc. can make a big difference ( but not always in the way you would expect) Strangely enough, I had a couple of times that turning "up" the sensitivity actually made it run quieter on a couple of spots. "Most" of the time the DE process mode seems to be the most settled down around here...

I've only had one spot where I had any issues at all with noise, and that same spot drove my CZ3D, Explorer and C$ bonkers. The 75 was still very usable (dug a silver quarter pretty deep). You brain just begins to filter out the little noises and pick up on the "real" hits.

The DP audio process also seemed to be less effected at this spot. That may be worth investigating. One thing that I found very interesting is that I can hunt closer to electric cattle fences with the F-75 than I've ever been able to with other detectors! I dug a mercury dime within 3 feet of one last weekend. That's something I've never been able to do before..

I had good success getting the F75 to run stable on a wet sand beach with sensitivity around 60 and the BC process.
I guess the bottom line is some experimentation is in order for the differences in sites/minieralizion you encounter.
I took Mr. Bill's advice and payed more attention to the FeO meter on the screen rathger than just the ground balance # of 69 (a ggod year) I guess I have it easier than many folks in other parts of the country with mineralization as I only had one bar showing (or it was all the way at the bottom). Occationally I saw 2....but that's still minimal.

Watch out if you have steel toed shoes/boots which can also interfere....
