It was found by a buddy of mine. Notice how thin it is, compared to a regular linc. If it was worn that thin I think the images would have been worn off. But their still there on both sides. Can't make the date out though. I've never seen any like it. Weird find.
God Bless,

I have found "wheaties" thinner than that..and the circumference of the coin is shrunk cconsiderably..but the Lincoln image is still discernible; reverse "wheatie" is gone, though...

Your penny looks like one of those steel -coated pennies from the WW11 era.....is that what it is?

I haven't gotten a steel penny yet...other than those Canadian coins...but without a date probably the only way to know for sure would be to use a magnet to pick it up. If steel it should be picked up with a magnet, if not it won't. Just guessing though.

sized coins come out of the water. Most are blackened from the leaves and such that causes a tannic acid in the water where the coins are found.

several copper coins in the water that come out all sand blasted. Even in muddy water with lots of leaves etc... down there. I got an Indian one time that came out all shiny but had the sand blasted look.! :)

See the one wheat, and indian. :) Silver was black though.

That's funny Mike.......Whoever the penny pincher was, they held onto that one really tight to squeeze it flat!
