Hi all , weather perfect, no rain , no ice , no wind, no where to MD around fort, the powers that be have tarmacked around three side of it covering nearly all the sand down to the bed rock, absolutely pizzed me off, went on to the beach the tide started to come in when that happens on the Mersey it happens fast, found 31new pence, funnily enough no rubbish at all, went to have lunch, decided to try another beach, the weather changed 80mph winds, freezing rain, found nowt, all in all a really naff day, i think i will stick to my parks at least i find silver and nice coinage in them, hoping to get permission to MD a local farmers field in the near future, thanks for your time.

You did find some stuff That's good, Quite the change in the weather.
The pasture hunt could be interesting for you to hunt in. Good luck ,hope you detect some good finds.

hi Bernie that happens to all detector users at one time or another i"v had it happen to me quite a few times  i"ll give you two bits of advice if it"s a new area you"v never detected before check on google maps & check out a satellite image of the area before you go this can also help you spot potential hot spots to hit. & always have one or two back up areas that look good in case the first area is no good.
the farmers fields over in the UK are the best areas to hit for old stuff some of the finds that come outta them are amazing & it keeps coming outta the same fields over & over as the farmers plow there paddocks i really wish i was over there detecting with ya
