Found $4.05 in clad

Well I found $4.05 in clad today at the park. It was a lot of work but no silver and no wheaties. I thought I would have found at least one cent.

I have enough for a new set of batteries now. Good thing too, the ones I just bought are almost gone. About 11 hours on them. Maybe it is the headphones.

When I get my next set I'll try for some deep cons again. This was just smartfiind with fast turned on next to the pool.

I find digging clad keeps me interested and believing in treasure.

If you didn't dig any pennies then you wouldn't find any wheatys....And once you start findin the wheat's ya might dig a few injuns and so on and so on...
Some times it is hard to tell a clad quarter from a Silver quarter at 6 " so you gotta dig em.
I ALWAYS dig a signal reading quarter that way you can't miss...
Earlier this year I cashed in over $100.00 in clads.
Depending on what machine your using silvers will sing a bit more than clads but will get fooled from time ta time...

You gotta dig em all. Found a 1872 seated dime earlier this year just 3" deep and masked by an iron church key (can openner).and one foot from that was a 1926 mercury dime under a rock. Both from a very old and pounded park.
On the subject of batteries you cud save the cost of batteries in the long run by purchasing an energizer battery charger for AA batteries (recharges 4 at a time) and 8 AA 2500 mAh rechargeable batteries from Walmart (about $44). These batteries last us about 12-14 hours and recharge in about 15 minutes for 4.

I like to visit old sites for old coins but when I don't find any I need to visit the park for what it feels like to actually find a coin.
