I hunted in the woods today . The soil is much moister there. Found a 1909 penny and this bird tag with a Tesoro vaquero ,before the heat and humidity wore me down. I called the number in and they are suppose to email me back with a certificate and info on the speices of bird, where it was banded...

That's unique. Do you get to keep it?

I think so. They just want the numbers. Its a large tag. Must be from a hawk, owl , or eagle.

That's awesome keep us updated.

A green 1909 penny. No s, no vdb. I thought it was going to ba an Indian head because I have found them there before and it stopped giving a tone right before max disc.

What machine do you use

Nice

The band came from a Red Tailed Hawk. Banded in HAVRE, IOWA and I found it in Hannibal Missouri. About 80 miles distance , straight line..

Did they say what year it was banded?

The bird may still be alive somewhere

Oh
