Found a button ,masked by a small nail & a hot rock

I had been over this spot with several detectors and missed this nice button , I found it with the Outlaw, in no motion I 1st dug the button and rescaned the hole and got another signal, out came the nail , that is why it is good to dig dumb I have found many masked Items this way , and the best find I have made was masked by a nail, my 1879 seated dime I also found a hot rock . looks like it was in a fire, and it sounded off so ai always keep the hot rocks , I tested it in disq and the outlaw easaly gets a dim under this one in DISC mode

That's the thing about detecting in all metal. You get a signal from something and in the process of retrieveing that target, the masked target appears.

There is something i have never heard any detectorist discuss before.Do you remember when the outlaw first came out,how Robert was saying in the first field test how the outlaw picks up small items?Well this statement stuck with me.This is also listed in the Tesoro add on there site.I thought to myself, how can they make this statement, when the outlaw runs at 10.6khz?I think i know the Tesoro trade secret. It is all about the retune speed. If you get to messing with as many Tesoro's as i have you begin to get a feel for this stuff. No telling how old the button is?Way to work that no motion .This outlaw will surely help me in the woods next winter.Keep up the search and testing Gunnar.:-D

hay I found that copper nugget, in a baslat stone , the nugget was the size of a BB that fits the daisy BB gun i turned the rock over and put it in disc and made no sound but the No motion gets it solid at 3.5" deep part is the small coil , and the other is the retune, this is a special detector.
