Found a few coins

Firstly a big thanks to Randy,
I have read his E Book,and I believe since then my coin count has almost doubled,I am now a great believer
in Randys suggestion of dragging the coil over a detected item and listen to how the tones behave.
I spent around 6 hours at an out of town racecourse to find this lot approx $65 in modern and old currency coins plus the citizen quartz watch....thanks again Randy for all your help and advice....jim

( HaHa) the larger gold coins are $2 and the smaller gold coins are $1, all the rest are I guess what you guys call clad
50c,20c 10c etc and a lot of 1c and 2c.You might find this hard to believe but in two years of detecting I have only run across 3 other people
with detectors and two of them were just passing through,the other is a friend of mine who goes out rarely.
As you can see I am a bit spoilt for choice, but sure attract a lot of interest when at the beach or park etc. I find the older race tracks
in country towns real good as the terrain around the track stands havn't been altered in 100 years.....cheers jim

I envy your lack of competition Jim. I don't think that you even have a detecting store anywhere in New Zealand. Getting plenty of competition over here lately with several other detectorists hitting my favorite spot before I can get near it. (The local farmers market). Still, they didn't get it all. I'll be over on the South Island towards the end of the year, but I doubt I'll be packing a detector though.:sad: Just won't have time to swing it.
