found a GAR bronze star

hello .Here are some finds from friday hit a new site it tossed us some nice keepers.Found some info on the star but not alot so if anyone has any more info please let me know.thanks for any help.happy hunting to all don

in a little park in Ohio. Here's what I learned. Probably an early one(within a few years of the CW), made from melted Confederate canons.
It probably had a ribbon attached to the 2 top prongs of the star where it hung from a metal pin(you might want to check around the hole you got this from and see if you can find the pin). Look up GAR badge on Ebay and you'll probably see one for sale. AND, are you going to the N/S hunt? If so I'll see you there!
