and the IH penny in the woods today in central Jersey. The large cent is 1801. The IH is 1870 and in great condition with nice smooth green patina. Strange how the large cent has no pitting in one small area, entire back side is pitted. Nothing else was in the hole except a rusty nail. Seems like something kept that area from pitting, maybe it was the nail. Was able to see the date while the dirt was still on. Each 6 to 7 inches deep. CoinStrike with 8" coil. Jabbo
