found an abandoned house today

well as I said the other day I made it out to the woods to check out this abandoned house, I went to scout it out, and take some photos. Can you believe it that when I got back there my camera would NOT work??? These pictures are all from my cell phone. Thank God I had it with me!

I did take my detector back there, but it was almost useless, there is a LOT of trash people have dumped and with the snow I couldn't see it all. I need to return when all snow is gone so I can check AROUND the dump areas, hoping to find some dropped goodies. I am sure there is stuff to be found here.

late 1800's. Did you find the owner? Don't want ya getting shot!
late 1800's. Did you find the owner? Don't want ya getting shot!
no owner found. We found papers, catalogs etc in the house the NEWEST date was 1943, there has not been anyone here in a LONG time

Can you tell what type of tractor it is?

After looking at some of my tractor links I am leaning towards John Deere

Up here we could get pinched for tresspassing!

I like that site...I'll trade you the Ct. shoreline for directions to that house :yo:

...and full of opportunity.

The county clerk's office might be a place to begin to see who the owner is--or at least who is paying taxes.

These old places are becoming more rare by the minute. Consider yourself blessed.

Now, where would that clothes line have been??? Hmmmm. <><
