Found an old bullet in a new park??? Can anyone ID this?

Found this old U rimfire cartridge in a park that was built in the early 1970s. I undetstand this was from the Union Metallic Cartridge Co. and could be as old as 1850. Anyone familiar with this type of cartridge?

I'm trying to hone my skills so I enjoy the practice. I don't believe it's the same size (as the short I linked to, the OPs looks longer), but it's the same manufacturer.
