Found another old coin today...and other "stuff"

Got out this afternoon; found clads , a junk ring, 2 "wheaties", and this heavily encrusted and tarnished coin...

cleaned it using the "boiling water /aluminum foil/ Arm and Hammer soft detergent; after about 6 applications, the crust just peeled off in my hand.

Was I ever surprised to see the 1895 Barber quarter coin emerge from under all that crusting.

I was very happy to find this coin.....found it at the water's edge along the shoreline in front of a row of cottages.it had to have been in the water about 100 years!

Thanks for looking

must have been a pleasant surprise to see. Your area has the history so there's no telling what you will find. Good job, rained all day here so didnt get out. Steve i nso az
