Looks like a foriegn coin attached to a money clip or something?
I tried to get info on the writting and no go?

Graw, is that exactly how the lettering is on the "coin"? Separated like that ...I think one of those words is "discimus' ..and could another of those words read"Nihil obstat"?
 
From what I can see from the picture that would be King George V...

I need a clearer pic of exactly what the latin looks like. I have a pretty good site for translations / latin sayings. To have it on the coin / medal, it's most likely a "popular" latin proverb or the like. Nice find!
