Found many rings since I last posted, but I like the 1966 Class ring the best...so does its rightful owner (photos)

Was detecting at the shoreline water's edge when I dug up this huge , beautiful 14K High School class ring ( 1966 )

The High School was next town over from mine; located the School year book at the Library; contacted the owner who was ecstatic to have it returned to him

He said he had only had the ring for 2 weeks , went to the beach, took it off and placed it on the blanket, went for a swim, came back..shook the blanket out and went home only to realize half -way home that he was "sans class ring".

He drove back to the beach to try to locate it in the sand..no way that was going to happen with a heavy ring such as that.

Fast forward 43 years...and I find it about 100 yrds from where he had lost it!...Hey, maybe another TV interview?? :smoke:.no way..no more of those.

Here's pics.

Thanks for looking
