Found odd problem with F75LTD2. Must read!!

I ran some coins across my coil this morning and noticed something odd The Indians and Wheat type coins were not being picked up by the detector. The other coins were. I tried everything but nothing worked. I finnaly changed the DST from On to Off and it started finding the Indians and Wheats again. Just my experience. You might want to check this out on your detector. I did find a indan last month with this detector but none in about a month. Could have been this gitch.

Some time they need a factory reset which happens when you changed the DST 90\91 setting. Could also have been you had a notch set that took out the Indian heads and the reset eliminated the notch.
Any way change it back and see if its working now.

I now will go back to the last few sites. I did notice at one site I missed a bunch of copper coins with the F75. I went over it a 2nd time with the E-trac and found over 10 copper coins and one wheat. I was confused how I missed so many of the coins. Now I know. Good thing to switch between the 9.0 and 9.1 every once in a while to ensure this does not happen to me or anybody else.

No problem detecting a 1944 wheatie. Default i.e., 9.0, BP, Sens. 90, Tones 4H, Discrim 90, no notches, and using 5x10 concentric coil.

Just done a reset on mine and both 9.0 and 9.1 sound off on a IH penny, so I am going with foreign object. Either you got a one of a kind problem or you had some kind a notch set and the reset you did to change from 9.0 to 9.1 or the other way around cleared the notch. I would suggest going back to the original 9.0 or 9.1 that you were having trouble with and check your IH penny again.

Also as a side note I have notice that some wheat pennies ID at a lower number than other wheat pennies. I would guess there is a date issue that the pennies were made different in the metal make up. I don't know that for sure, but I am sure there somebody knows and will help out here.
