Found some silver today:thumbup:

If you read my post last week, you might remember that I spoke to an older gentleman who helped me narrow the location
of a couple places I learned about while doing research. well, today I found one of the spots I was looking for, got permission, and fired up the detector
The picnic area is pretty small and wasn't used long(late40's), but I knew there had to be something there if nobody beat me to it.

I got a few coins in the grass, but most came from in the brush. I found about 10 wheaties before the first silver.

A 45 Washington

I also snagged 4 mercs(seperately)

I love when you pull a clump of dirt out and there's a reeded edge sticking out
This is a 41 Washington quarter

I found 38 wheaties
4 mercs 43-16-(2)41 no mint marks
2 buffalo nickels
2 quarters 41-45 no mint marks
also, thought I had a gold cross, but it's just plated
