'Found' some small silver too. And the many faces of 'real' money. :)

Added 1kg of silver granules to the pan, we (Ken and Riki are in on this one also.) used some beach found coins to buy that, at the spot rate. As long as the bag remains sealed (no plans to open it unless we want to e.g. test a vacuum cleaner out!) then it is easy to sell the bags here, if/when it ever comes to that. Not sure which form (ingot or silver granules) I like the most at the moment, but both look pretty cool in the pan. Naturally, lots and lots of holes dug to get those, so it is great to turn 'dirty' money into 'real'.
1KG of gold next?!!! :)

Great idea, and something I've been doing for a long time. Usually hold back all finds for a year or so, and then cash it all in and do a swap for Krugerrands or silver. All that dirty money is not nearly as exciting as just one BIG gold piece.

Modern day alchemy at its very best. :)

Put the bag of silver into an acrylic container to avoid the possibility (high) of holes in the bag. ;)
