Found Something?

Found this in my front yard today and I'm hoping someone here might have an idea on what it could be. It was approx. 3" down and read around 145-157 range. It weighs 12g. It looks like silver but seems light for its size. Could it possibly be a meteorite?

Yes it does. Several locals here (western Louisiana near Toledo Bend) think it could be a small piece of the space shuttle Columbia that burned up on re-entry. Who knows.

Yup...melted Aluminum...Space Shuttle??? You never know...My guess would be melted beer can from a camp fire or cookout...

HH,

almost definately aluminum melt....I have dug many many pieces like that. Will usually come in the coin range....get you all excited and then.....that!
