Found stuff today. First time out with new detector...

...I bought a new Explorer 2 from Chris (Ohio) from the forum. He gave me a great deal and was real nice about the entire thing. I haven't detected at all in 2007 and I had fun today.
Went to an old fairground spot that has been hit to death over the years. The dry conditions really brought out the silver signals. Got 5 of em today. 3 Mercs, 1 Rosie and a surprise seated. Yes!

Also nabbed 2 Indian heads, 1883, 1889. One of em was stuck together with these 7 wheaties in a hole. There was a little leather left stuck to the coins as well. The newest wheatie in the stack is a 1920. Probably around the year it was lost. That was a neat find.

This Seated was the best find of the day though. Of the times I have been to this spot before this is my first seated dime outta the place. All I needed for a dime slam was a Barber but I couldn't nab one.

A fun time out. Good to be detecting again. Jim

Excellent finds Jim. Like you I have not been getting out much but I am planning on a big fall - so I will be posting my finds.
