Found these 2 itmes in a woods.. help with button!

The penny is old and maybe the button. any ideas on it would be appreciated....

The button looks like a CW era eagle button to me but I"m no expert. It sure looks like the same kind of buttons I dig at old home sites in crop fields. Nice finds!

Hey Sonny, nice find.To tell if it's pre war or post war .You would have to know the back button marks ( who made it)
If you can read it , I'll look it up for you,

That's a Great Seal button. Made from 1902 - present

Looks like the back of the button is gone....Id say its an eagle button tho...I have a few complete ones that look just like it.Grats!
