Found this Evening

This evening I stopped by one of the local farms and asked if it would be alright if I detected his land where I knew an 1870's homestead used to be. He said no problem but he thought I was apt to find nothing since he had been plowing the fields for years where the house was, I thought differently though :) This was the result of a quick hunt of about an hour wandering around trying to find exactly where the house was.

Cool finds. I can see two pocket watches and a tire valve cover and a part of an oil lantern. What is the White Label thing and the thing to the right of the watches? If you go back, I hope you find some more neat relics and some period coins. HH

The item to the right of the watches is some sort of little round trinket. To me it looks like a locket that was altered to be worn as a necklace and a pattern of holes stamped in it. The other item is what goes on the top of a beer tap. I found that exact one online and it was from 1949. I look forward to making it back out there soon before the grass gets too high.

Here is a link to what that topper looks like in great condition

That beer tap is neat. I hope yours will clean up - it will make a neat display item. Good luck at that site-seems like it has lots of potential. HH

Awesome finds ... there is bound to be silver there somewhere !
