and with our economy the way it is I think more people will be planting caches and not trusting the banks...can't trust Wall Street, AIG, or the government...time to bury it.

Dig ALL signals...who knows for a few bucks one can buy old military army ammo boxes and bury them. Hmmm...I have one...will have to see what it registers on my Minelab.

Thanks for the post, welcome to the forum Joe, and if you guys want to toss some of that extra loot this way  be glad to help take it off your hands.

You guys should rebury the money (don't trust the banks and IRS might want their cut).

We found $38,000 but like I said Steve and I only got 10% for finding and digging it up. I think the fun was worth as much as the money. We were all like a bunch of kids. Bud's (the older fellow on there) brother Harry was the fellow that buried the money. We did NOT find all of it. We only found two separate sites out of those shown on the maps. Actually there are two maps, a 1997 one and a 1999. On the instruction sheet he said that that was where some of the stuff was. He had dug up three gallon jars not long before he died. He never filled the holes back in when he dug something up so we could tell which ones he had dug up. I will post the maps on here when I can figure out how.

On that same Picasa site are pictures of the place where it is buried. It is titled 83 acres for sale. It is an all concrete underground house with wood heat. I have the place for sale for $219,900 and will include the maps plus I know pretty close to where some gold is buried.

We found the two places with the maps and a picture. In the picture you could just barely see part of the old barn through the brush so I kept on until I had things lined up like in the picture and Bingo we found it. There's lots more to this tale to be told.

Interesting story of hidden treasure... we all wish we could find some caches! :)
