Four firsts yesterday / Silver Trifecta

Lakota

Boys I had a awesome day yesterday. Long story short this location gave up a '37 merc a month or so back and yesterday it gave up a '35 merc 20 minutes into the hunt. Oh yeah!
Elementary school play area gave a few modern coins some kids jewelry and a 1940 wheat .

Well by the time I was done there I was hot, tired and thirsty as all get out. So back to the car, took care of the thirsty part and thought as I stood there that the football field across the road had few joggers now that the night was cooling things off. Well Ok I'll just make a quick pass across the width of the field and call it a day.

Chose the inzone/ 5yrd section. Found your normal stuff pull rings, a couple blanks brass and modern coins. Then this wierd signal that high toned then dropped in tone and numbers it was all over. So I let it lay, had another signal like that, then another. On the third one I just had to know what it is making this funky signal, '57 rosie! Oh Yeah first two silver coins day. Still ecstatic from the rosie I dig a couple more coins then a solid high tone 74-75 numbers with just a little shifting. Of course I dug it and up from the turf comes my first Barber, 1916!!!!! WoOT .. First three silver coins day and my first trifecta.

Hope all of you have this kind of weekend.

Man I am missing my 11" bi-axle it wouldnt have had any trouble with the rosie and I think there is more to be had out at this location. I forsee a drill and a oven in my dead coils future

Good luck out there guys,

Lakota

Thanks guys, yeah I still go over and look at them on my end table and giggle :bouncy:

The 11" coil is done. But that isnt going to stop me from going out there again this evening. I have high hopes that this site will be a good source of silver. Think yesterdays finds might be a dang good sign of things to come :D

Great job on the dime trifecta. They don't come along very often. Sounds like you have a good site to really pound. HH jim tn

Great job.... And what coil were you using to find this tri-fecta of silver my friend ??? cch

Thanks guys .. Yeah this location is starting to look like a promising honey hole.

Last night I returned and ended up digging two more silvers for about an hour and a half of searching ( batteries in the 75 gave out ), second silver is my first silver foreign coin an Australian 1943 Denver minted Three Pence. Yeah shes a little rough, but I'm not complaining :D

The ladies ring weighed in at just under 7 grams of sterling. That will put me over 100 grams of sterling for the year ;)

Cajun I think it was this little dinky white hockey puck looking thing ;)

To top off the weekend boys I returned to the "trifecta location " and dug my second Barber a 1900. 'S' mint in pretty worn condition but I'll sure take her. This is now my oldest coin and my first 100+ year old coin. :D

Bringing my total for the weekend to 5 silver coins, one sterling ring and a wheat with plenty of clad and junk.

Sure hope the same good fortune found you all as well.
