If you wanted time to do what you want when kids are out of school, how could you get free babysitting service?
I think I have found the answer - though not totally free.
You let your kids do whatever they want so they get into trouble with the law. They go to court. Since they are juveniles, they don't get jail time but instead get community service. Sure court costs come into play but then for what you pay you get free time to be away from the kids to do what you as a parent want to do while the kid(s) are doing community service. Drop them off, pick them up and in between do what you want.
The kids of course pick spots where they feel they have to be but don't have to work. They can cause problems with staff, steal, take money from the cash register so someone else could lose a job, they can swear at adults, tell the adults they refuse to do anything but what they want to do. They create more work for whoever is willing to accept them as help to fill the hours of community service.
They have no idea and could care less about service they are just trying to get the courts off their backs by making life miserable for other.
That is what we are finding at the ReStore I am working at. Smart mouthed kids doing nothing but causing problems and parents get free babysitting service. Heaven help us.
