The info comes from a Prepper's (people who prepare for worst case scenarios of doom and gloom and try to prepare for survival). Granted we may not be 'prepping' ourselves for such an event(s) we can use some of their info to help us locate possible detecting sites.

To obtain free (and current) USGS topo maps go to - http://nationalmap.gov/ustopo/index.html and select the map for your area of interest. You can print these at home, but I must warn the scale will not be exactly as listed owing to how your printer works.
