The wrath of man had sought to prevent the labors of the prophet of God; but the very means by which Jehoiakim had endeavored to limit the influence of the servant of Jehovah, gave further opportunity for making plain the divine requirements. The spirit of opposition to reproof, that led to the persecution and imprisonment of Jeremiah, exists today. Many refuse to heed repeated warnings, preferring rather to listen to false teachers who flatter their vanity and overlook their evil-doing. In the day of trouble such will have no sure refuge, no help from heaven. God

The Lord is faithful to His own and; therefore, we must hold on to our faith in Jesus and lean on Him no matter what our circumstances are....In this sinful world, a true and faithful Christian will be mocked and ridiculed for their faith of standing frim on Jesus, the Solid Rock of our salvation....for a far better life that is to come to all who truly believe in HIm and obey His written Word that Jehovah is the One and Only true God of heaven and earth....the Savior of the world Whose name is Jesus!
