Friday morning hunt

Been blazing hot here the last couple weeks. Usually around 90 by 10am. Got out this morning about 8. Found a small section of street that has been displaced by the new North South Corridor freeway. Found it by searching the area with satellite photos. Cant be certain that the area has or hasnt been hit by MDers already, I didnt see anything that made me think so.
Started out with the new Digger coil. Wasnt finding a whole lot. Managed a couple of wheats, an old chinese coin and a brass or copper ring. Switched back to the stock coil and found 3 wheats in one hole, then another wheat, a 1926 buffalo nickel, a 1954 Rosie and another wheat. Also found a few modern but copper pennies. Only one zinc. Got too hot to keep going by then. Looks like there may be 6-8 lots that had homes or trailers on them, guess I'll keep going there for a bit to see what else is there.

That looks like a great place to be hunting.Nice variety of finds found, and still to be found I'm sure.If you don't have a lot of trash your stock coil should do you well...slow and steady. Good Luck

Thanks guys. Been a couple of weeks since I found silver. Funny thing(not so funny), I haven't found a silver quarter in close to 20 years. I think I'm due.
