Hello, thought I would post a pic of the antique pottery that Roy Volker found on one of the wrecks he was detecting under sea in 1995! Here is the story.....Buz Bowman, one of our club members and others, were able to invest with Roy and the pottery was part of his take as an investor and then he became older and blind, so he donated it to the club as a prize for one of our Fall Club Hunts! Numbers were on silver dimes planted in the field and whoever got a number would pick their prize....well the pottery was all that was left to win and my number was picked, so I got the large piece of pottery! It is certified and will post a pic of it later....telling what it is, where found and the year! For got to take a pic of the Certificate or scan it.....Ma is forgetful ya know and does things piecemeal! Hope you enjoy the pics of the inside and outside of the antique pottery! May God Bless ya all with lots of good fines and safe hunting! Amen! Ma Betty

The Certification of Historic Artifact for the antique pottery Roy found in 1995 while exploring a wreck site of the SPANISH TREASURE FLOTA which was lost in the terrible hurricane of July 31, 1715 off the east coast of Florida!

It would be awesome to be in on a sunken ship recovery!

Well, I wasn't on his ship when he was doing the recovery of sunken tresure but I did see his ship's turbons blowing deep holes in the sand and gravel from off shore where he was trying to uncover hidden treasure! My mom passed away so had to leave and go to Hollywood, FL where my brother, Cliff, my nephew Ricky and I took the airplane back to St. Louis for mom's funeral, so my vacation with Bill, Judy and Roy and his crew was cut short! Did get to board one of the boats owned by Kenneth White, Jr....any way I think that was his name....been a long time since 1984....I enjoyed being down there but mom's death brought an end to it and much grief to Cliff and I...she passed away on July 24th, one day before my other nephew's birthday...my sister, Carolyn's son! All things come to an end but mine came to a tragic end! May God Bless you to be on board a ship someday when they find some nice treasure at the bottom of the sea....the deep blue sea! If you ever get the books Roy wrote, one is titled, In the Wake of the Golden Galleons, that tells about the dangers he also encountered while diving for treasure....like poisonous snakes! Ma Betty
