Frozen ground?

goldbill

New member
I have been out with a new 12 X 10 in some fields that have 4 to 5 inches of thawed soil then frozen ground. I was experimenting with the settings and the v seem to go off the deep end . I was probably at rx of 14 gain 95 recovery 120 . When I backed everything off I had to go way back.Like 6 75 70 .The V seemed more unstable after that even when I was over a thawed area .Any thoughts? Does the frozen ground affect the performance ? It reminded me of emi but I an WAY OUT and zero emi.. Bill

First see if the D2 does it in the same spot at the same time. If not I would worry about the coil.

What are the signal and noise readings for both?
