FRustration on the Beach

I took my XS to the beach today. I had the 10.5 inch slimline coil on it and it was falsing in the dry and wet sand. I tried everything, different tones, disc patterns, noise cancellations, and it still was falsing. This only happens in this one particular beach at balboa, but nowhere else. Any idea why this is happening?
Anything will help.

If you were up from Balboa to Sunset I would say it was the black sand. A PI is the only detector that I have been able to use there.

If you're using a coil cover, sand and water can get trapped which causes constant falsing.

If you are SOMETIMER hunting on a beach......... just remove the coil. Oddly enough here in Fl i get EMI from power lines NEAR the beach when the wind blows hard. Black sand may affect it, but sea weed will as well. Thou....... ive never had a black sand issue in the dry sand. Normally its a bit heavier and thus deeper.
