Hey folks...I'm looking for some Christmas cash, so I'm parting with my somewhat quirky X-terra 70.
This machine comes with two DD coils - the little HF 6'' as well as a 10.5 MF. At least I think it's a MF coil. It's marked as a HF coil but when you check it on the machine it reads as MF. I even started a thread over on the X-terra forum about it (Coil Misidentified by X-terra 70?). The coil works great, just the frequency is in question. My guess is that it was mislabeled by Minelab and is truly a MF coil.
The other issue is the battery door. About a year ago it wouldn't stay closed and I noticed a crack where the door meets the body of the detector. Again, I discussed the issue on the X-terra forum (Battery Door Quirk). The repair I made last year is still holding strong and is causing no effects whatsoever.
Finally, I've misplaced the original coil bolt. I picked up a nylon bolt at Lowes and it is doing the trick.
The machine works great and has miscellaneous marks from use, particularly some scratches on the lower rod. I'm including a carrying case along with the machine and 2 coils. To clarify, I only have the 2 coils mentioned, NOT the original concentric coil.
Yours for $370 shipped, paypal preferred.
I'll get some pics up tomorrow if anyone is interested, but the links above show the "concerns".
