Full tones equals bottlecap mode

I'm obsessed with bottlecaps,... I even dream about them in my sleep.
I know,.... BAD

Reactivity, Silencer,... hmmm didn't really do it for me.
However,... try this.

Full tones.
Reactivity 3
Silencer 0
Disc 0
Notch 10-40 isch
Notch 95-100

Feeling up the bottlecap with tip of the coil, Iron audio.
Sweeping over the cap, spit and sputter audio.
Coin wright next to the cap, 2-way hit !!!!!!

Full tones turns the Deus into a silent discriminator, coupled with the notch and 0 disc turns the Deus into an audio discriminator!!!

XP,.... you've just made us very very very very HAPPY!

I can't wait to experiment with the full tones and the reactivity but that just looks like too much notch for me. Having found gold at 37 I couldn't sleep at night notching it out. I might try notching 10-20 and 98-100 and fiddle with reactivity. The possibilities are endless. Thanks for the tips!

Hey scoopjohnb-

I will give that a try. Other than GB which will be site specific, what were your other settings, such as which freq were you using? And was your result from an air or simulation test, or an actual in-ground find? Not implying judgment, just curious as to the situation.

for sharing!

Will give this a try!

I tried the silencer as well while using full tones and reactivity 3 and many bottle caps still came in loud and clear at 3 and 4.

My little program was devised using an air test.

Targets in the ground should drag ID down, the deeper they are.

Notch settings should indeed as diggler said be adjusted to your ground conditions.
Even a different ground balance number will alter TID for in ground targets.

Definately needs fine tuning.

airtest wont give you true results need to get that in the field and try it, I was out for a few hours today in full tones, either their was no bottle caps for reactivity 3 and silencer at 3 was working nice. Either way im loving V3

DISC = 0 disables the horsehoe icon which removes the ferrous / non-ferrous ID on the icon . . . . . what is your basis for setting at 0 . . . . it is really not buying you anything and in fact removes one piece of information from the equation

Disc at 10 removes iron report when in full tones.
Full tones turns the detector into a silent discriminator, at least on mine it does.

So with notch starting at 10 till 30-40 isch it reports iron, but looses foil - heavy foil.

Notch 95-99 looses the high tone of surface bottlecaps, too much lowering also looses out silver coins,..... can't have it all.

We need a concentric to turn it into a silver coin vacuum, or dig bottlecaps.

Hi Guys... Maybee make a combination... Disc. 0,0 gives full depht. 5 tones and change tone 2 to ex.300 hz, and change the area of tone 2 to about ID 40.. Leave the rest. Silencer 3 or 4 will degrease depht, but help with the caps, and because the disc. 0 increase depht, you could end up nice. Only iffy is the Volume at 300 hz ( iron, paper, ID 0-40) is in same high level as the high tones. Some European use this to relic hunting with the silencer at 2, and its works pretty good.
