Fun loving Omega

Although I haven't been posting much the past few months about the Omega, I have, though, been taking it for strolls three or so times a week. This afternoon was one of those strolls. All I dug was modern coins and 2 wheats from a park that has on occasion given up a silver as far back as Barber coins era. I love coin hunting with the Omega. Although its not the deepest detector out there, I seldom run into emi problems with it, it has wonderful tid and tone. For pure coin shooting, it is a true delight and a joy to swing. Anyway, for my two hours afield with it, I got 9 quarters, 11 dimes, 10 nickels, 6 Memorial cents and the 2 wheats, 45 and 53 dates. I was using the 10" coil, which is my favorite, too, and running 0 disc, sen pp and 4d tones and gb of 66. 1 on the nickels was a true 5" and while it was a little bouncy, 55-58, I was sure it was a nickel. nice finds and a really good nickel count

(or any of the Teknetics models) can really be a rewarding pleasure. Nice report, and I hope silver will come in your next outing or two.

That's how you do it! Just get out and have fun. Nice nickel count too. HH.

Yes, the nickels were popping out pretty good. I did dig 4 or 5 of the square tabs that do lock on 57 pretty good, but was able to stay away from all but a couple of small pieces of can slaw. tndiggin, with a little research, am sure there are some spots half way in between that we could hook up and hunt. Lets give that some thought. Monte, I haven't been giving the Omega the best opportunities for silver for a while. Have had a pretty good run going on a spot that my F 75 LTD is needed on. I have a couple of really trashy spots that I want to re-hunt with the Omega and the small 5" coil that were good silver producers. Thanks again everyone. HH jim tn

One of the best coin machines I've ever used. Not bad for relics either.

I totally agree the coins don't stand a chance against the teknetics.

Put disc at 80 2 tone ID and sens as high as you can get listen for the quack sound and dig it will be a coin.
