A guy I work with ,married a girl whos parents own this place. There is a resturant,a pond,swings, and place for weddings, company paties....etc.....I got permission to hunt it and was told only one other has hunted this place since they owned it, and that was a long time ago. It is old farmland from way back by what I see sounding the place. well after a few pennys, I got my first silver hit, wow my first thought was big score and there will be plenty more. It was the 1928 SL quarter, my first one. Then wheats and memorials and then bam another silver, washington quarter, then the silver rosey, and the rest clad and wheats and memorials....this place is chuck full of pennys....I stopped digging them it got so bad, I hit the water and pulled out colored pennys, yellow and orange, they use to have games for the kids to find. got a few silver rings and religous metal....etc nothing good....this was all within 4 or 5 hunts btw.....one day I was determind to find something good..used the 7.5 ML coil most of the time....today I strapped on the 12.5 sunray coil and went slow....after a bunch of clad and tons of pennys.BAM.....right in the middle of all this new stuff a 1824 LC popped out.....not very deep at all, maybe 4"...found a few deep musket balls...this place is fairly big and I have it all to myself......I was told I do an excellent job at digging cause they cannot even tell I was even there digging......thats one thing I was worried about cause I have dug tons of targets....but even wierder is about everytime I was there I got chased away by thunder and lightning and turential rain down pours......that helps with the grass staying green I am sure. I have been hit by lightning before so I run when it cracks over my head!!!......so this will be a place I will go to every now and then....one day I will take a count on all the pennys and clad.but not now.....I Have been too lazy...I really rather have gold or oldies.
