I normally limit my forum visits to the Garrett Users Form, however I have been surfing other forums and read a lot of complaints about the future of MDing. I read a lot of complaints of
"No Trespassing" "MDing prohibited" etc.
I find myself wondering if part of the problem may be our approach.
I have a list of 35-40 sites I have permission to hunt, some adjoining Civil War Battlefields.
In the last year I have been given only 1 "NO Way" and his land is in fact a CW battlefield. I own two detectors and sometimes invite the host to join me on my hunt. I have even had a land owner to show me where a regiment of the Stonewall Brigade bivouacked for a winter.
In conclusion, maybe if someone reading this is having trouble finding sites to search you should change your approach.

It hasnt worked for me. I try that too. I also offer to show them how the MD works, and how to use one. Still NO!s. Maybe its my bald head and my mean looking face... LOL or those half possessed looking glaring eyes I have. Hmmmmm. Maybe its the skull on the dash of my van, or the Doom Buggy license plate or the Pirates of the Caribbean antenna ball. (Hey, its all Disney!) Maybe they think I'm gonna bury them in one of the holes.
Then again, Maybe they have a MD too. Maybe they just decided they want one. LOL
Who knows. For now its just parks or my own yard.

Haha, I had just discovered the smiley faces here. There are some really funny ones! Plus it was like 2:30AM, I was half asleep , and trying to stay awake waiting for an ebay auction to end.
Yesterday I did some plumbing at a HUGE towering house that dated back to 1860. The barn was even older, made of logs like a lincoln log set that were I'm guessing 2 foot thick each!!! This barn was HUGE!!! The owner said it had been detected at least 3 times. No permission once again.
