<"))))><( - G 2

hit the lane for a short test spin today.

like the f75 i had once and my minelabs she likes deep bottle caps............the shallow ones jump all over the arc....i.d. pretty good like that.......have the arc set at 41 now.

nickels hit right on 58 like the book said...........then i hit a 59......another nickel i think........59 turns out to be a kinda deep oxidized pull tab...........hit 2 - 49's..........foil drink seals....glue on top type.

now i am switching back and forth from discriminate to all metals.........just learning, but id is as u know in discriminated readings.

carried a few targets with me for testing, we do more next spin and will take the time and bury some in the wet sand, today all were just on top.

i moved the arc setting to 50...........drink seals are now low tone in shaded arc...............but u will see from attached pic i am moving it back to below or around 40 for now.

she ground balances some much faster and right on than the old f75.........i am impressed with that and is quite with gain cranked up.

now the best part for me was the hook and the brass swivel deal on a piece of mono. fishing line

more soon.....maybe i will take my video camera

good luck

I've maybe got about 5 more hours left on my 3rd battery in the G2 bit it has all been inland hunting. I have never been a big fan of beaches, at least the coast, because here in NW Oregon our beaches just don't have the amount of good targets left behind. Compared to the much better beaches of California, Texas, Florida and the rest of the east coast, up here the weather is usually crappy and there isn't the same level of on-beach activity.

Besides we have such nasty sand build-up because we don't get hurricanes and frequent storms that cut away our beaches. :( So, to this point, I haven't hit a coastal beach with the G2. We have some ugly, highly mineralized big river beaches that can be a challenge, but the G2 did okay there. I hope for a nice day to come in the next few weeks so I can hit our ocean beaches with the G2. It ought to be interesting.

Hi Max i have the Gold Bug SE a very very close cousin to the G2.
How hi can you run you gain .
In some short test my GB can run in the wet salt with as little or as much dics as i want with max gain.
If you could try a small piece of 10K gold against another salt machine .
The GB would hit it were my multi freq would not.

dry, wet, water

it should be called all terrain :) - kinda

ground balances F A S T .........runs smooth, not like F75.......black and and water ...piece of cake so far........

the depth is so far the only thing i have some concern over..........and that is not much concern.

keep us informed
thanks
