Have you guys noticed that the G2 will also give you ID numbers on items in the AM mode? My G2 will ID a 14k gold ring in disc mode at 12-13" with a soft tone @ 53/54. In AM mode it will give the same ID number @ 9" but father out it will not, even though it is still hitting the ring @ 13-14". Just surprised that you can get an ID number to some degree. This little machine is hot on gold rings, not bad on coin, it just hits gold alot better than coins with the exception of the nickle, I love this G2. HH
