G2+ Cherry picking settings with 0 disc

pine3874

Well-known member
Has anyone tried cherry picking for high conductors using the following settings to avoid listening to the low conductors yet hunting in zero disc? If you have any suggestions to improve these settings, please chime in. Thanks

Disc = 0
Volume = 10(don't have to listen to iron)
Notch = 40-76(don't have to listen to foil to pull tab)
Break point = 81(zinc/Indian head low tone, copper and above VCO)

I never tried it but it should work. Something similar could be done to take out high conductors and dig only the usual gold range.

My cherry picking settings for coins....

0 disc
Volume 10 (no iron)
Vbreak 56 (right under nickels)
Notch 60-80.

This gives me 57-58-59 for nickels (usually 5:geek: and 81 up for silver and clad.

Disc at Max.
V-break at 79,
Notch in 65-79

VCO for high conductors
Low tone for Indians and those low reading wheats. If the starting notch point of 65 is too low, move it up to 70.

Thats mine.
