G2 - Micro Jewelry vs Micro Iron Bits

Last weekend I searched the volleyball court sand for micro jewelry with my new G2. I did not find any micro jewelry on this outing but managed to find lots of very small bits of iron, hair pins, etc. Although, if there were some micro jewelry I imagine I would have found it. Is this the normal finds for this type of hunting or am I aiming too low on the VID? I still had fun finding this junk

Set your iron rejection no higher than 30. Beyond that you risk knocking gold targets out.

Also, the 10" elliptical coil is showing to have greater depth on micro-jewlery than the stock 11" coil.
