GB 59-62 Gain 100 5 and 11 DD coils This came from a Union Camp in East Tennessee I am interested in someone identifying the rings that have threads on them. Top Row 2 flat buttons and a fired pistol bullet and bottom row is a Spencer casing .

they are civil war period....They are made of cast brass and fitted via threaded bottom to a horse harness allowing the reins to pass through..

Hey, the answer to your question is the hoops with treads are to a wagon or appear to be large. the smaller or same size hoops may be to horse or mule. I love the Spencer round. Nice finds...

Neat finds Sonny, thanks for sharing & the pictures.------This is the GREATEST hobby in the world.-----I always call those neat old finds "little pieces of history"--same with the old coins.----From days gone by & never to be repeated again.---Once they are out of the ground, they will never be re-plenished and they are ALL priceless (in that respect).-----Who REALLY understands & appreciates us hunters (and our drive) but another hunter.----There's more wonderful aspects & rewards to this hobby than you can "shake a stick at"!-----------Del
