Garret Carrot Pro Pointer problem ( Orange version )

Hello, I bought a Garrett Carrot Pro Pointer new and the sound is horrible all garbled. Is this a known problem with this version ?
My buddies new carrot sounds good like the old black ones and nothing like mine.
The serial number has worn off the sticker but I have original box with serial number on it if I have to send it in for repair if thats what is recommended. Thanks

just send it back and let Garrett deal with it. It's definitely under warranty, you don't need a serial number as they are less than 2 years old.

I also had problems with my recently purchased Garrett Carrot. I couldn't hear the tone but the vibration worked ok. I suffer from high frequency loss due to working on jets in the Canadian air force. When I used my hearing aids I could hear it. After it got broke in I was able to hear it ok without my hearing aids.. It gives a sort of garbled noise a distance from the target, then a steady tone when close to target. which I think is normal. I think yours may improve after a few times in use. HH Ken
