any one hear any thing about the new infinum. or is it all talk and no action. i shour would like to know if its true.

Ray the Garrett Infinium is about to be released in Australia in the next few days. You can check our website for details and also Finders first impressions of a demo we were given by the Garrett distributer. You find the info at the link below

at around $1800, I imagine it shouldn't be all talk. Odd that it went to Australia before it was released in the country where it was made.

I see "late July" in Alaska.
Go to http://www.akmining.com/mine/gagold.htm

The Garrett Infinium LS has been received in Australia and dispatched to customers and dealers.
You can check further information about this unit at our web site www.goldminingcentre.com.au

The detector box in the Australian ads is mounted upside down. The controls are pointing down towards the coil. I guess someone in their photo department doesn`t use a detector. Good for a laugh anyway. Good huntin, John

Some hunt in that configuration to avoid knocking the controls out of adjustment...... have seen many swinging earlier Goldmasters here in the states with the controls facing forward.

I see $ 1250,00 in Alaska !?!
See at www.akmining.com/mine/gagold.htm

The picture showing the controls facing towards the coil is correct. By doing this, if you wish to look at the control panel and adjust the controls, all you have to do is lift the coil in the air and you can read all the contol labelling easily. The writing has been designed for ease of operation.
The control box has been designed so as you can mount it either way, and also it can be mounted in front of the hand on top of the stem as well as under the stem ( multiple mounting positions). Remember, it can also be hip mounted.

It is listed at 3200 Aus. dollars which calculate out to 1790+ US dollars. Maybe there is a markup or a change in the Australia machines. Or maybe the Alaska machines aren't made as good. Haha.

It sure doesn't make much sense having the headphone coming out the bottom not the top. Would just create more strain on the cord and ones head. I gather this unit would be more than likely hip mounted anyway.

Hi Guys,
The Infinium LS is to list for US$1250.00. The AUS$3200.00 is after import and duties, and because the machine will come with both underwater and land headphones. The US version will come with land headphones only.

It isn't a joke. It only mounts right side up in one of the three pole positions.

It was tested there and elsewhere in the world to cover all bases.
