Garrett pro pointer "carrot" depth???

Can some of you folks let me in on a little information with the
Garrett pro pointer.....orange , waterproof, pin pointer?
Was looking at them on a few web sites and couldn't read ,or find, any specs. as to what kind of depth you can get from it?
How about depth on an average coin sized object straight off the tip of the pointer?
I've. About average mineralization in the soil here....no salt water....just pretty normal midwest dirt....maybe some occasional terre cotta...or hot rocks..
And off the side of it??
Also , how many carrot users out there. Have added the modification with the tie wrap and little washer. Etc...
Where you slide the piece of metal up and down the pointer to increase the depth??
Im kinda rusty hunting for info. On the web any more. Maybe i just wasn't looking in the right places for the specs.

Ok ...thanks in advance..

If I remember correctly at full tilt I got around 3.5" easily enough on a pound coin and just made 4" on a quarter

Des D,
Ok....wow....that's pretty good depth...thanks for the info....i know i need one soon.
I have been running with out one for years and years....time to make that target recovery a little easier.
Im just gonna have to grab one and add it to the carry on tools with me! lol !
