Many of you know the 'coin trick' to double the sensitivity of the Garrett Pro Pointer. I used a washer, instead of a coin, in this configuration.
I used a heavy fishing line and positioned the electrical tape on each end to hold it against the side of the unit. The washer should be in this position to slide it easier.
The first photo (left) shows the washer at normal sensitivity. The second photo (right) shows the washer moving forward to increase (double) the sensitivity.
As everyone knows, you slide it forward until one hears the chirping then you slide it back until the chirping just stops. This should about double your sensitivity.
This design will allow you to easily put your Pro Pointer in it's holder. You should get up to 4" on some coins.
