Garrett Scorpion Gets 3 More Rings This Weekend And 100,000 Coins Is Even Closer :surprised:

Had to work all weekend, so I went after work each day for a couple of hours. My window to reach the 100,000 coin milestone is closing each day, so penny popping is the name of the game. And as always, digging for pennies always leads you to surprises!

Here's some of the odds and ends kind of finds. They are all keepers and have a spot somewhere in my collections.

And finally......the rings. The favorites of my finds, the cream of the crop, the things great hunts are made of.

:detecting: I am a Tesoro user, but I know that Scorpion is a real fine detector and gives those nice soft sounds on deep targets that a jewelry hunter like myself likes. Congratulations - Bill in Texas

Although I may not comment that often on your Scorpion hunts John, I sure am impressed with them. You seem to do better with the Scorpion, than any of your other units. Very inspiring!:clapping:

Good quantity of clad and three rings, nice hunt:thumbup:

Lookin Good John-Boy- got so I grab the Scorpion bout ever tine i go out anymore, Lordy they fine beepers :garrett:

send a photo of that coin (100,000) to Garrett and have it published in The Searcher. I'll lay you 1:5 that it's a Canadian Cent. "100,000 Coins All with Garrett Detectors" or some such title.

How is the gold plate over silver ring marked? I have one ring that I think is this composition but it is unmarked.

Chris

It's stamped .925 and something (I believe 10K) and also Thailand. so, if the stamps are correct, it would be 10 gold plated over the silver. You can see places where the gold plate has worn off and the silver is showing.

I bet it would probably do a decent job on your clad too, as they are made of different compositions then US coins.
