But, my ACE wears a wool jacket and a nice heater insite. If it could talk, it would be compaining of being TOO HOT . One of the reasons I don't use the 2500 is that it CAN talk, and would probably be constantly nagging me about being too hot or too cold!

We have all seen your Ace's wool jacket. I still think we could get you for MDer abuse. I don't think Mr. Garrett would be happy on how you treat his baby.
I will probably do worse when I move north. I have got some caves, with sandy beaches in them that I want to MD. One cave people have been visiting for over 150 years and it is 5 miles long! That will be my winter MDing trips. Caves in W.Va. are 100% humidity and 52 deg.F all the time.

At least I can overide it on my detector.

John I do admire you courage to detect in -18, I've got to keep walking just to stay warm, if I stop I freeze up. Your Ace has no voice to scream, "IT'S COLD OUT HERE"

It will kill a battery fast. It makes it hard to take pictures. I have destroyed cameras in caves.
I am a little on the husky side, so when I am moving around a lot I have trouble keeping cool. My buddy is thin and he gets hypothermia easily. Sometimes we are up to our chests in 52 deg.F water. I can't wait to get back into it.
I don't know of anybody that has ever done it, but I thought about trout fishing in a cave.
